Kathleen Dillon, 3rd Grade

Education:

Bachelor of Arts Degree in Liberal Studies from Newman University in Wichita, KS.

Masters in Elementary Education from University of Northern Colorado.

What I love most about working at St. John’s:

I love being able to practice our faith throughout the day and throughout all the subjects with our students. I also really enjoy the community Saint John’s provides as a teacher and a parent. 

Where I’m from:

I was born and raised in Ellsworth, KS. 

My husband, two boys, and I moved to Colorado in 2014. 

Interests and Hobbies:

I love hiking and running!! I have done a few triathlons, marathons, half marathons, 10ks, and lots of 5ks. I also love spending time with my family. 

Personal Note:

I have known my husband since I was 10!

Plus, my two boys are students at St. John’s. 

Best Faith Experience:

I was able to study abroad my senior year of college in Italy. We stayed at the convent with the sisters that founded Newman University. I learned a lot about the history of Catholic religion as well as other religions. I was also able to attend a mass with Saint Pope John Paul II.  It was a wonderful faith filled experience.
